HC Deb 03 November 1986 vol 103 c305W
Mr. Fallon

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he has any plans to modify the provision contained in the Northern Ireland Estimates for 1986–87 as a consequence of moneys granted by the United States Government; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Scott

My right hon. Friend has no immediate plans to do so. The International Fund for Ireland, through which contributions from the United States of America and other donor nations will be channelled, has yet to be legally constituted. It would then be for the board of the fund once established to decide on the disbursement of fund monies. Implications for Northern Ireland Estimates cannot be determined in the absence of decisions by the board on allocations.
