§ Mr. David MitchellNext year's allocations have not been made. Sweeping for highway safety and maintenance is governed by the Department's code of practice, while that for health and amenity purposes is a borough responsibility. Variations to the code have been drawn up to reflect the special problems of London roads. The detailed application within individual boroughs will continue to be discussed with them.
