HC Deb 03 November 1986 vol 103 c341W
43. Mr. Sackville

asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many bus services have been cut in Lancashire; and what is the increased cost arising from implementation of the Transport Act.

Mr. David Mitchell

I understand that the overall level of bus services in Lancashire after 26 October has been maintained at current levels and that, far from increases, the costs of subsidy to the county council has been reduced from over £8 million to under £3 million in a full year.
