HC Deb 22 May 1986 vol 98 c290W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will now ensure that emergency procedure instructions indicating what local residents should do in the case of major nuclear accident at either Trawsfynydd or Wylfa nuclear power stations in Gwynedd, be issued to every household within 30 miles of either nuclear power station.

Mr. Mark Robinson

[pursuant to his reply, 19 May 1986, c.39]: Present plans are as set out in the Health and Safety Executive's publication "Emergency plans for civil and nuclear installations". Responsibility for preparing these plans rests with the stations concerned and copies are held by the local authorities and the emergency services. The plans are regularly reviewed and tested by the CEGB under the terms of the licence issued by the nuclear installations inspectorate.
