§ Mr. Wyn RobertsIn 1984–85, the latest year for which outturn information is available, expenditure incurred by the Department and by local education authorities on the youth service represented just under 1 per cent. of total expenditure on education in Wales (excluding expenditure on universities and on mandatory student awards). This percentage has been unchanged in each year since 1979–80.
