§ Mr. StanleyYes. The new international airport at Mount Pleasant, which will be used by both Service and civil aircraft, became fully operational on 1 May 1986. All concerned in this project, particularly the Property Services Agency and the construction consortium of Laing, Mowlem and Amey Roadstone, can be justifiably proud of their achievement in completing an international airport on a green field site 8,500 miles from Britain in less that two and a half years.
