§ Mr. ButcherCompletion of a unified liberal internal market in the Community will benefit British industry through the removal of barriers to trade with other member states; and is one important condition for the creation of a European industrial capability which can compete effectively on world markets. The precise balance of advantage may of course vary from sector to sector, depending on the United Kingdom's competitive position in each, but we believe that there should be clear net benefits for United Kingdom business as a whole.
