§ Mr. EggarIn financial year 1985–86, the FCO paid £3,275,807 in boarding school allowances towards the cost of school fees and board and lodging for 856 children of FCO staff, including the ODA and communications department, serving overseas. Separate figures for the costs of school fees and of board and lodging are not available.
