asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will give the number of houses in Scotland, at intervals of 10 years from 1936, in the following categories—

  1. (a) total number of houses;
  2. (b) total number of houses to let owned by local authorities;
  3. (c) number of owner-occupied houses;
  4. (d) number of houses let privately for rent;
  5. (e) number of houses let by housing associations;
  6. (f) number of houses without baths or sanitary conveniences inside the house;
  7. (g) number of houses without an indoor water supply;
  8. (h) number of houses in the Scottish Special Housing Association;
  9. (i) number of houses requiring repairs costing at least £7,500.
