§ Mr. Peter MorrisonI met Mr. Stempel of General Motors during my recent visit to the United States of America. The meeting had been arranged many weeks earlier as one of several with United States companies. The visit was a useful opportunity to maintain normal good contacts between the Department and American companies which have significant investment in the United Kingdom.
