§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe Commission has only just begun preliminary work on arrangements to replace the fifth directive on aid to shipbuilding. We have asked the Commission to ensure that its proposals for the next regime take account of the various subsidies for shipbuilding in member states. I am assured that the Commission is hard at work along these lines.
