§ Mr. Alan ClarkI refer to the reply which I gave on 8 May to my hon. Friend the Member for Southend, East (Mr. Taylor). During his visit to Washington on 27–29 April my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State sought to dissuade the Administration from taking action against Community exports, and made clear that the Community would have to respond to any such action.
