§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the proportion of five-year-olds with dental decay in each year since 1974.
§ Mr. Hayhoe[pursuant to his reply, 6 May 1986, c. 87]: This information is not collected annually. Surveys of children's dental health show that the estimated proportion of five-year-olds in England and Wales who had experienced dental decay dropped from 72 per cent. in 1973 to 49 per cent. in 1983.
