§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether the European Economic Commission has made an estimate of the amount by which production of the principal agricultural products is likely to increase in Spain and Portugal under the common agricultural prices at the current real price level.
§ Mr. GummerThe Commission of the European Communities has not published such an estimate. Most Portuguese prices are above EC levels, as are a few Spanish prices. The 10-year transition period and far-reaching changes in marketing organisation are future factors which make such an estimate almost totally impossible.
