§ Mr. GummerThe Community continues to have excessive stocks of milk products and of beef. In the short term we are seeking to reduce the stocks, including the use of schemes to benefit consumers in the Community. Exports on to the world market are often a more cost-effective outlet but we are opposed to arrangements which pick out particular countries for special treatment.
