§ 23. Mr. Phillip Oppenheimasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will estimate how much the European Economic Community will overspend in the current year on the farm budget.
§ Mr. JoplingThe Commission has indicated that a supplementary budget will be needed in 1986. This is in part because of additional expenditure on agriculture arisng from the decline in value of the dollar against the ecu and the realignment of European currencies. The Commission has said that it will propose an additional provision of 915 mecu to allow for these factors.
