Whether they have considered the report in the 17th March issue of Aviation Week and Space Technology on "Disinformation Policy" in which the United States Department of Defense is said to convey false information on certain subjects, including the strategic defense initiative, and if so whether they believe themselves to be among those whose "need to know" entitles them to correct information.

However, our relationship with the US Government remains, as befits two longstanding allies, one of trust and warmth. We are entirely satisfied with the quality of the information we receive from the Department of Defense.
