112WMany residential homes for the elderly already receive full or partial relief from rates under the Rating (Disabled Persons) Act 1978. The Government have no plans to legislate in this area pending the introduction of the changes in local taxation set out in the recent Green Paper "Paying for Local Government" (Cmnd. 9714).
