§ 90. Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent initiatives he has taken to seek to help resolve the Iran-Iraq war.
§ Mr. RentonWe continue to press for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 582, which was adopted unanimously by the council and offers the best hope of progress in bringing this tragic conflict to an end. In addition we remain in close touch with the UN Secretary General, whose role we strongly support, and with our colleagues within the European Community.
