§ Mr. Wareingasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many private residential care homes and nursing homes have had their registration cancelled as a result of providing an inadequate service during the past five years; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. WhitneyInformation about cancelled registra-tions has been notified to us only since 1 January 1985. Up to 31 March 1986, six residential care homes and two nursing homes had had their registrations cancelled. Three of the former were on grounds that included the poor quality of the services or facilities.
