§ Mr. RentonThe Hong Kong Government continue to make satisfactory progress in providing further education to meet the territory's professional manpower needs and Hong Kong students' aspirations. The recent decisions of the Hong Kong Government to establish a third university, and to increase the numbers of the places available in the existing universities and other institutes of higher education, will ensure that the long-term targets for further education continue to be met.
