§ Mr. Frank Fieldasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the effect on the rate of long-term supplementary benefits received by claimants in Great Britain who move to Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. NeedhamClaimants aged 60 or over who move to Northern Ireland from Great Britain would continue to qualify for the long term supplementary benefit rate. Other eligible claimants would receive the long term rate after they had been on supplementary benefit or a long-term incapacity benefit for 52 weeks.
