§ Mr. LangPreliminary results from the 1985 Labour force survey indicate that, in the spring of 1985, around 5.5 million people worked on one or more of the preceding four Sundays.
On a different basis, the Institute for Fiscal Studies has estimated that 4.1 million people worked regularly on Sundays and another 4.7 million worked occasionally on Sundays in 1984.
