§ Mr. Denzil Daviesasked the Prime Minister who will be responsible for administering the security requirements placed by the United States Government as a condition of participation upon British companies or institutes involved in the strategic defence initiative research programme; and what will be the general nature of these requirements and the penalties for their transgression.
§ The Prime MinisterAs the Government have stated on a number of occasions recently, the detailed terms and conditions related to British participation in the SDI research programme are confidential. Responsibility for administering these arrangements from the United Kingdom point of view will rest with the Ministry of Defence, consulting other Government Departments as necessary.
