§ Mr. Barry Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he has any plans to seek to change the requirements for registering residential homes for the elderly and nursing homes in Wales.
§ Mr. Mark RobinsonThe fees payable for the registration and inspection of residential care and nursing homes will be increased on 1 April 1986 with the coming into effect of the Residential Care Homes (Amendment) Regulations 1986 and the Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (Amendment) Regulations 1986 (SI Nos. 457/1986 and 456/1986). The Residential Care Homes (Amendment) Regulations 1986 also make a few other minor amendments to the existing regulations.
The Department will shortly be issuing additional guidance to health and local authorities on certain aspects of the registration and inspection of residential care and nursing homes.
