Mr. Frank Cook

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will define the three forms of radioactive waste storage repositories (a) above ground, (b) near surface subterranean and (c) deep cavity subterranean in terms to be adopted by the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate in licensing these storage sites; if he will identify and place in the Library the particular Nuclear Installations Inspectorate publications that describe the licensing procedures and criteria for nuclear materials storage sites; and if he will make a statement.
