§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if, in the light of the Royal College of Nursing commission on nursing education and the consultation paper issued by the English National Board, he will include in the proposed White Paper on higher education proposals on nursing education.
§ Mr. WaldenThe Government are not yet ready to publish their response to the proposals that they have received about the future of nursing education. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services is awaiting a report from the National Health Service management board following the board's consultation on the proposals with local health authoorities. The Government will publish their response in the form that seems most appropriate at the time when they are ready to do so.
