§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales what steps he has taken to seek to overcome the problem of a six months waiting list for National Health Service treatment for certain conditions at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Bangor.
§ Mr. Mark RobinsonThe management of waiting lists is a matter for the district health authority. However, to assist authorities in this area the Department has asked them to validate their inpatient waiting lists. On 9 April a workshop will be held with all nine authorities and a group of experts to help identify problems, the reasons for them and develop solutions. Progress will be monitored in the process of the annual review of performance of all district health authorities.
