§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will update his calculations of the annual cost to the defence budget of the introduction of commercial management; and if he will list the consequential annual cost or charges to his Department for the following items (a) redundancies, (b) pension arrangements, (c) staff costs for supervisory organisations within the dockyards, (d) value added tax contributions, (e) efficiency savings and (f) supply facilities for stocks and spares.
