§ Mr. Gerald Howarthasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give further details of the proposal announced in his Budget statement to restrict 604W eligibility for tax relief under the business expansion scheme where the company has a high proportion of its assets in land and buildings.
§ Mr. MooreMy right hon. Friend's Budget proposal for changes to the business expansion scheme have given rise to a number of queries which go beyond what was covered in the Budget day press release put out by the Inland Revenue. I have authorised the Inland Revenue to issue today a further Press Release giving a fuller description of the proposed restriction on a company's holding of land and buildings.
