HC Deb 27 March 1986 vol 94 cc594-5W
Dr. David Clark

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what discussions his officials have had with the members of the Dunnet committee on that committee's draft report on badgers and bovine tuberculosis; what requests for redrafting of the report have been made to the committee by his officials and for what reasons; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Fenner

No such discussions have been held with Professor Dunnet and his team and no such requirements have been put to them. The aim has always been that Professor Dunnet and his colleagues should produce an independent report. Any suggestion that anything has been said or done by my Department to infringe their freedom in this regard in entirely without foundation.
