(2) what is the current trend of the nation-wide incidence of venereal diseases.
§ Mr. Hayhoe[pursuant to his reply, 6 February 1986, c. 217–18]: I regret that I cannot give the hon. Member all the information that he seeks. Information by age group is collected centrally only for primary and secondary syphilis and for post-pubertal gonorrhoea, and is available for the age group 16 to 19. The information is given in the table. Trends in the numbers of new cases from 1973 to 1983 have been published in "Statistical Bulletin 3/85", a copy of which has been placed in the Library.
