§ Mr. Adleyasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list all sections of previously disused railway line that have been, or are in receipt of his approval to be, reopened in each of the last 10 years and, where appropriate, the extent of public funding involved in each individual reopening.
§ Mr. David MitchellThose light railway orders made during each of the years in question which were concerned either wholly or partly with reopening disused railways are shown in the following table. My Department did not fund any of them, and does not collect information on funding from other sources. Information about sections of disused railway lines which have been, reopened under other statutory provisions is available only at disproportionate cost.
