§ 18. Mr. Wallaceasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received on the guidelines set for current local authority expenditure on education and on local authorities' capital expenditure programmes on education.
§ Mr. AncramThere are no guidelines set for local authority current expenditure on education. The Government's overall provision for local authority services is discussed annually with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities through the established consultative structure. On capital expenditure programmes, a number of representations have been received directly from authorities and individuals covering a variety of issues and education projects.
