§ Dr. David Clarkasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will discuss with the chairman of the Countryside Commission assistance to non-governmental organisations attempting to purchase land to be disposed of by water authorities following his circular requesting them to sell such land.
§ Mr. WaldegraveWater authorities have already been given guidance on the need to bear in mind environmental considerations when considering the disposal of land. I am of course happy to receive representations from the chairman of the Countryside Commission or others on any particular problems.
