Mr. Meacher

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report tables similar to tables 8A, 8B, 17A and 17B in the technical annex to Cmnd. 9691 showing the average change in disposable income by family status under the proposals in the Social Security Bill.

[pursuant to his reply, 5 March 1986, c. 157–58]: The information requested is shown in the tables. The average gain across all groups in Table 1 (£2.20) differs from the figure shown in Table 8A of the technical annex (shown as £2.10) owing to a printing error in the technical annex.
