asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he proposes to make any further changes to his Department's cash limits for 1985–86.

Mr. Rifkind

Yes. I intend to make reductions, totalling £5.01 million, to five of the cash limits within my responsibility. The details are as follows:

The reductions will partly offset increased expenditure of £18.748 million on vote XV:5 (Regional Assistance, Scotland) and £20.5 million on vote XV:8 (Housing Support Grant). Neither of these Votes is cash limited and the necessary Supplementary Estimates have been approved.
