HC Deb 24 March 1986 vol 94 c349W
Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has had any discussions with the Scottish Law Commission on the Scottish private legislation procedures.

Mr. John MacKay

My right hon. and learned Friend has had no discussions with the Scottish Law Commission on these matters. He is, however, aware that in its 19th and 20th reports (Scottish Law Commission 89, paragraph 3.49, and Scottish Law Commission 98, paragraph 2.50) the Commission has recorded that it is to provide information on the practical working of the Private Legislation Procedure (Scotland) Act 1936 to the joint working party of the Law Commissions on local statute law in England and Wales and in Scotland.
