HC Deb 24 March 1986 vol 94 c379W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many appointments for orthopaedic operations have been cancelled in the South East Staffordshire health district due to the shortage of junior hospital doctors; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Whitney

I am sorry I cannot give the hon. Member the information he seeks. It is not collected centrally. The hon. Member may wish to write to the chairman of South-East Staffordshire health authority.

Dr. Marek

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the longest time a patient now waits for an orthopaedic operation; and what is the average time in the South West Thames regional health authority area.

Mr. Whitney

I shall let the hon. Member have a reply as soon as possible.
