HC Deb 24 March 1986 vol 94 c338W
Mr. Chope

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the average length of time that an individual, who is refused leave to enter the United Kingdom but is granted temporary admission pending the making of representations by an hon. Member, stays in the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Waddington

I regret that the information is not available in the form requested.

The length of time a passenger refused entry spends on temporary admission in these circumstances depends on several factors, including the time within which written representations are received, the number of times further representations are submitted in the same case, and the resources available to consider the representations.
