HC Deb 24 March 1986 vol 94 c341W
Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will protest to the European Economic Community Commission on the refusal of Mr. Willie de Clercq, Commissioner for External Affairs, and other European Economic Commission officials to fulfil scheduled discussions on trade with representatives of the Australian Goverment; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Chalker

The high level consultations between Australia and Commission officials have been postponed. The President of the Commission and his colleagues will be holding talks with the Australian Prime Minister, Mr. Hawke, when he visits Brussels on 22 April.
