§ 44. Mr. Hirstasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received from Scotland regarding the Shops Bill [Lords]; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. WaddingtonI regret that a separate record is not kept of representations from Scotland and the information could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. But the number of letters received has not been large and some of those which have been brought to my attention were clearly written by people who think Sunday trading in Scotland is restricted.
