HC Deb 20 March 1986 vol 94 c259W
Dr. Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are the most recent representations which Her Majesty's Government have made to the Government of Zimbabwe with regard to Philip Hartlebury, a British subject.

Mrs. Chalker

The most recent ministerial representation to the Government of Zimbabwe was made in January 1985 by my right hon. and learned Friend when he raised the case with the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's office during his visit to Zimbabwe.

Since then, our high commission in Harare has continued to ensure that the Zimbabwean authorities are aware of our hope that the man can be released soon. Its most recent inquiries were made in mid-February of this year.
