§ Mr. RifkindI intend to bring the Family Law (Scotland) Act 1985 into operation as soon as possible. Since, however, a number of the provisions of the Act relate to court procedures, no specific commencement date can be defined until new or amended procedural rules have been made by the Court of Session on the recommendation of the Rules Councils for the Court of Session and the sheriff court.
