§ Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, pursuant to the answer of 12 February, Official Report, columns 489–90, he will break down the total of social security claimants for 1985 into the categories (a) pensioners aged 80 years and over, (b) pensioners aged 60 to 79 years, (c) sick and disabled, (d) one-parent families, (e) low paid families, (f) unemployed families, (g) single people, (h) childless couples and (i) widows and others.
§ Mr. MajorMore detailed information on the categories of supplementary benefit claimants in Leyton and Leytonstone is not available.
Details of the number of persons in receipt of supplementary benefit in December 1983 (the latest available information) in the categories requested, except low income families, is available nationally but not locally as follows:
