HC Deb 19 March 1986 vol 94 c201W
Mr. Pawsey

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what steps the British Railways Board is taking to seek to improve the punctuality of express services.

Mr. David Mitchell

This is a management matter for the board. I understand it is currently putting more resources into improving punctuality where it knows performance is poor.

Mr. Pawsey

asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many representations he has received about British Rail service punctuality in the last 12 months.

Mr. David Mitchell

Separate records are not kept for representations on punctuality. On quality of service generally, I estimate that about 400 representations have been received over the last year.
