HC Deb 19 March 1986 vol 94 c225W
Mr. Canavan

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received about residential accommodation for hospital staff.

Mr. Hayhoe

About 200 comments, mainly from health authorities, were received when the scrutiny report on staff accommodation was issued in 1984. Since the new national policy was announced last July, about 100 letters have been received, mainly on behalf of individuals or groups of staff who might be affected.

Mr. Park

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if Coventry district health authority has given notice to any of its employees to quit accommodation owned by them.

Mr. Hayhoe

I regret that this information is not collected centrally. The hon. Member may wish to approach the chairman of the Coventry health authority.
