§ 57. Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has given any fresh guidance to local authorities on development within the green belt.
§ Mr. TraceyAdvice to local authorities on development within the green belt is set out in Department of the Environment circular 14/84. That circular confirms guidance on development within the green belt which was first issued in 1955. We have made it abundantly clear that we stand by this policy.
