HC Deb 18 March 1986 vol 94 cc141-2W
Mr. David Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the budget of the Scottish Development Agency for 1986–87; and how this compares in real terms with (a) its original budget for 1985–86 and (b) its estimated outturn expenditure for 1985–86.

Mr. Allan Stewart

[pursuant to his reply, 10 March 1986, c. 372]: The agency's gross provision for 1986–87, which comprises its gross grant-in-aid and its provision for industrial investment, is £136 million subject to parliamentary approval. This is equivalent to £130 million at 1985–86 prices and compares with (a) equivalent provision for 1985–86 of £128 million notified to the agency in August 1985 and (b) forecast outturn expenditure in 1985–86 of £132 million. The forecast additional expenditure in 1985–86 will be financed by additional receipts.
