asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish in the Official Report a list of those schools in Wales whose in-depth reports have been carried out by Her Majesty's inspectors of schools since these reports have been made public; and if he will distinguish between primary and secondary schools and give the date of publication.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what action his Department takes to monitor the implementaton of recommendations made by Her Majesty's inspectors of schools in their in-depth reports of conditions and practices in Welsh schools.

The arrangements applying since 1 January 1983 for following up reports made by Her Majesty's inspectors of schools are set out in Welsh Office circular 11/83, a copy of which is in the Library. Further to that circular, the Department wrote to all local education authorities in Wales on 2 July 1985 informing them that the response period to reports on maintained establishments would be specified separately for each report and would not be less than three months.
